I was just wondering what the different FW's are? I have heard about R1L, R3C002, R1L013, R3C, R1A, R1A081, etc. I have had FW R1A054 and R1B027. What the heck is the differences between all of the FW's?

Are some for the T610? Some for the T616? Some for other phones? Upgrades? What? What is the highest FW for the T616 (I searched, but everyone says something else)?

hi,
Firmwares are softwares for the phone. Every phone need to have one. The difference between different firmwares is that the latest ones usually have more bugs fixed and soem times more features.
The reason you are seeing different firmware names as the latest when you search is because the firmwares keep changing. To find out the lates firmware for a phone I would suggest you look on the SE website
hope this helps

If I read the heading of your post correctly then you did ask what are firmwares? and what they do? Right? Then again you asked in the post why there are different FWs? And which is the latest for T616?
I presume I did answer all those questions. So like Mixin asked above why on earth did you ask these questions if you knew the answers?
Was it to check whether others in the forum also know the answers or Was it to see how many dumb people are there around with lots of surplus time?
???????????????????????

I didn't ask what firmwares are, I asked what FW's are out now. I also wanted to know the differences between the FW's that I listed. Like is the FW for the T610, the same as the FW for the T616? I'm just inquiring, cause I'm on Cellular Support now, and getting ready to flash my phone to the next FW. I just was wondering.

Don't worry Anish, by being born in an English speaking country one may not get good command in the English language, which is a pity. I don't think any one else did understand his post the way he intended it to be understood.

It depends on which email service you decide to use whether it's pop3 or imap (although most emails have pop3)

I did not think Yahoo email allows for pop3 email retrieval though (perhaps the paid version does) so you'd need a softhome.net email address or any other that allows pop3.

Best check on that first.
