> Backup Failed Error !!!!

I connect the phone using the docking station in order to make a backup, using the sonyericsson software, but i receive allways the same error message:
"Backup Failed
An error occurred while analysing differences between the phone and the PC.
Please try to make a backup again.
Make sure the phone is properly connected.
Please turn the phono on in order to make and receive calls again"
The phone is properly connected, and everything is okay.!!?
I didn't have this problem when I used my PC to synchronize with but now I have to use the Notebook and I have got stuck with it

After a while I gave up on my notebook. Are you backing up both the Stick and phone memory at the same time. Also do you have a lot of music files on your phone. I found the music files to be my problem so I move them all to a duo stick. They take up a lot of time and always caused me the error message. Now when I back up, I back up each part separately. I have copies of my music on my pc so don''t need to really back that up.

Do you have AppForge installed in your mobile if yes then remove that that software create problem in backing up. if no then see clearly is the file where it gives error is "ALARM.DAT" if yes then you have to flash your phone as this is the file which creates problem. my recomendation is to take sync rather than doing the backup as the backup stores the operating system file and suppose after flashing if you restore your back up then your old operating system will get restored so there will be no use of flashign up the phone.
