Ok so my setup first of all is
a
t68i which I've been happy with for just over a year
I'm currently with Rogers AT&T
I'm mostly using my phone in the GTA area(toronto)
Now here's the symptoms of my problems as of 3 months ago I've been having major problems with my phone. I can't make or receive phone calls with out having the following problems(NB: all problems are sporadic and periodical):
1. My phone beep's a
fast busy tone when placing a phone call and I usually can't get through till the 8th try
2. I get a
no access status on my top banner
3. During a phone call my phone will
cut out completely disconnecting me
4. when watching the signal indicator I will have full reception(green bars) then periodically drop to
no reception for a 1 sec. or 2(red line no bars)
Now I have been reading around the net to see if any one else has been having the same issues, currently a friend of mine is having the same problems as I am and I found this thread as well.

Is anyone else having these problems and if so how are you rectifying it?

I fixed it....what i had todo is get the proper screw driver(Throx t6) to open up my phone.
Just unscrew it, open up the phone. take out the metal antenna and carefully clean out any dust and grit that may have built up.
It seems that static electricty build up is the problem. After I did that I had full receptionand been using my phone with out a singel problem for the 24 hours. I even spent 3 hours on the phone just to make sure.
I'll post pictures on how to take apart your phone and what I did.
