Anybody here has one of these? How loud is the speaker? I have a fairly loud computer on my desk.

Debating whether to get this, or the regular SE desktop stand.

Thanks in advance.

It was better than the speakerphone built into my P900. In test conversations the person at the other end said that it sounded the same as if I was talking directly through the phone itself.

Does your environment typically lend you to speakerphone usage? Too much background noise can make any speaker phone useless for two way conversation.

My reason for purchasing it was different. Mobile reception in my office is very poor so a minor movement of the phone could result in loss of signal. I got the speakerphone base so I wouldn't have to move the phone.

I don't have it anymore but I used one for a while and indeed did a review here. It certainly should be loud enough for your needs.

I use it a fair bit, my only complaint is that it has to be mains powered, and therefore has to charge the phone. I still don't like charging my phones unless they need it (last of the dying traditionalists!). Aside from that, the quality is excellent, and I've finally found a use for "magic word" - who'd have thought!

Well the problem for me is that I'm quite a heavy user so I need to charge it quite often.

Now when the phone is charging and I get a call, I don't want to pull it out of the charger, then put it back to charging when I finish the call. It screws up the charging cycle and I'm pretty anal about it.

So the speaker stand is useful for me in this case since I never put it to the stand unless I have to charge it and I don't want to take it out unless it's 100% fully charged.

(BTW I don't have a bluetooth headset.)

But on the other hand I've always been a collector on E///'s accessories. I believe I own all all E///'s chargers (I have 4, the CDS-11, one for T28/R520, one for 7xx/T18, one for 6xx/8xx series).

The big problem for me with the CSS20 is the crazy set up which means you cannot use the speaker and be connected to your pc at the same time. You have to move the switch at the side of the speaker stand to either be using the speaker or be connected to the syncstation. Madness. Typical SE. Speaker is better than built in P900, but I have to admit as a result of the above the stand is lying on my desk mostly unused.

hi there!

quick question about the cradle... are you still able to connect to the phone via bluetooth when the speaker is active (ie not switched on to PC mode). Thanks!

My screen doesn't actually get FULLY 'dark' anymore using the stand? The time is displayed, but it's slightly illuminated instead of becoming fully dark when idle for long periods ......

is this normal?
