I m getting a P900 phone from Hong Kong cuz my friend is coming here.. Does it make any problem or it works properly??

You should have no issues using it anywhere that has a GSM network, but you may have chinese characters in the phone if it's an HK release. You will find a reduced space in memory size because of it too. Not to count the chinese characters that will pop up when you try to sms.

language shouldnt be a problem becos you can always set english as the default language instead of chinese.
as far as i am aware (correct me if i'm wrong), hk fones all come unlocked so you wont require any unlocking before you can use it in the uk.

i got my P900 in San Fran but it was from HK as it comes with Chinese which I like.

So, to answer your question. any phone from anywhere will work with GSM, but you just have an additional language.

Ask your friend to get a English version instead of Chinese version if you want to save some memory. I brought the english version 2 months ago and unbranded it to 2003/2.
