Does anybody know if the is available software to enable the SE P900 to become an answerphone? I know this is available for Nokia's. This would bypass me having to use my networks answering service which is not too good.

Thanks in advance.

In Italy we say: "Who search, find"

But to help you:
No, there isn't an answering machine sw.
SE doesn't allow on PX00 to record/play sounds during a call.

For other info please search.

Do you know if there is way to get around this, i.e. is the fact you can't record conversations due to a harware limitation or just a software one?

Dunno, mate. It's highly unlikely that it was omitted by mistake originally, though, given that the P900 has all other associated voice features available. Some have reasoned that it may be omitted for legal reasons, due to the length of conversations that are potentially recordable, as opposed to the voice recorders in non-expandable memory handsets (e.g. T68i) with prohibitive limits on recording length.

I'd either search for more info or find a member who features in the "Technical" section or something and PM them, if you really want to know.
