I'm kinda new here so I'm hoping someone can give me a bit of a hand.
I'm about to purchase a second hand P800 (God Bless eBay) and I'm told it's locked to Orange UK. I'm on Vodafone UK and I know that unlocking it isn't going to be a problem, but I'm concerned that it's going to have Orange firmware like my Vodafone T610 has. I'm told that flashing the phone might not remove the firmware (if there is any), so if anyone has an Orange P800, can you tell me if it has Orange firmware and if you know if it's possible to remove (flashing or otherwise. i.e. a brick)

On the p800 you can put your own startup / shutdown vids on so that will get rid of them , web pages you can just delete...or go the whole hog and reflash it ...this will then be back to sony ericsson original ( as long as you dont re-flash with orange firmware again )
