The user guide says the log keeps track of date, time and length, but I only see the TIME for today's calls and DATE only for calls older than one day. It never shows me the LENGTH of calls.
Is this the case for everyone here or am i missing something.

You're misunderstanding the manual. The phone does RECORD all that info, it just doesn't display it on the front page. If you tap one of the calls that only shows a date, you will see that it then comes up with all the other info.
Unfortunately, you can't change the display settings to alter it.
