If I select [Divert All Calls] in flipped close mode it usually works.

However, *sometimes* it gives me a message saying I need to supply a number, in which case I have to flip open and try and remember where the Diversion settings are 'set'.

In flip open I think just select 'Voice Mail' (or whatever it is) in the drop down for 'Divert All Voice Calls', and then back in Flip Closed I can subsequently Divert on and off without any problem.

I'd be interesting in hearing peoples opinions of what I might be doing for this setting to become lost in the first place, so I can either avoid doing it, or at least so I can go in and repopulate the drop-down in Flip Open when its conveniant so I can always quickly divert when I want to.

I don't know whether I mis understood your question but why can't you go to Phone>Preferences> Divert Calls and select the first three options 'when busy',when not reachableand when no reply to the voice mail or the number you want and set the divert all calls options to 'OFF'. With this you will never need to change the settings again.

I do do that! But I still think theres a bug with the number losing itself.

Using silent (hold the C button) in a meeting is the MOST conveniant, but sometimes I like to avoid all the vibrating that that results in.

I also find theres a different caller perception - if my phone rings out a while before going to ansaphone, I get quite a few abandons where people hang up and ring back, like I'll get 3 or 4 calls from one number before they seem to believe I really am busy and leave a message.

If the phone goes STRAIGHT to ansaphone, I usually get a 1 to 1 relation between calls and ansaphone messages - I think it gives off a "yes, he's REALLY unavailable" as opposed to, "He's popped away and will be back in 10 minutes" feel ??

Of course, this was before I discovered how to shorten the default ring time before divert, and there is something to be said about reducing the number of ansaphone messages that I have to PAY to listen to!
