Do they actually record all calls that we make and recieve. My gf was recieving threatning phone calls from her ex and she reported it to the police. She has no proof that he used to scare her over the phone except the actual phone calls itself. Do you think the calls were recorded or will the phone company only be able to provide the police with the time and day of the calls?

I very much doubt they have records of your phone calls. For one it's not allowed because of the data protection act (Unless the Network informs you that your calls are being recorded) and two, imagine the amount of space they would require to record every single call and text message which goes through the network. I imagine if they police asked them to record a certain call, they have the capabilities to do so, but it's unlikely they can look back on calls and text messages. Only the date and time would be logged!
I think anyway...

i have a suggestion, why don't you just talk to her ex and confront him tell him to stop threatening your gf but say it in a nice and professional way. maybe that guy is so desperate he can't do anything to get close to your gf but to give her threat.you must stay all day with your gf and wait for her ex's call. or better yet use her sim card and lend her yours so it will be easy for you to confront her ex...

Have her file a restraining order. If he calls her, he in trouble. This happened with one of my cowworkers. Lots of harrasing calls. The caller went to jail for 5 months for stalking and other charges.

Just the logs with time, duration and date for calls. For sms just time and date and that they keep the logs only for a few days..there r millions and millions of sms' daily!

I have confronted the jerk! But unless i kick his head in and get a jail sentence he won't stop it!

I have got her a new sim card now but i was wondering if we could get him for the backdated stuff....this was around November/December last year when his calls were at a peak.
