Hi

in a few months time my phone contract expires so its new phone time.
Im self employed and run a small recruitment agency with one or two
little odd jobs on the side. my mobile phone is my life blood and
although i currently have a T610 which i absoulutly love its time to
move on to something more sophisticated. Hopefully if i list my
requirements one of you will be generous enough to suggest a phone
which might suit my needs (even if it isnt out yet)

these being:

email - automatically check x hours or support blackberry push, needs
to be fast as i get loooads of emails. the ability to view picture
attatchments would be a bonus.

easy *fast* text input. T610 although a great phone isnt as fast as a
nokia for texting, and i use about £40 worth of a texts a month...ooo
my thumbs are sore!

excellent diary and organiser functions, this is one of the main
prioties as most of my job is just organising. outlook compatability.

a "today" page would be nice on the front so whenever i look at the
phone i can see i have appointments today e.t.c.

mp3 player would be nice. bluetooth a must. web browsing would be
nice,i hear some phones have opera with small screen rendering?

multitask , ability to access contacts (have multiple contact info for
contact aswell, more than just name and number) and diary while on
call.

desktop software to send sms, floats media player for the T610 is
great as im often sending sms via the computer.

things i dont need:
camera
long battery life
games

from reasearch and off the top of my head a few phones come to mind,
the p900, sendo x (if it ever gets released), blackberry, nokia 6600
(heard the os is vveerrry slow, not exactly good for me when i need
info quick) etc but i dont really know much about these phones or
others out there and what would suit my needs best. Am i asking too
much from a phone? I've tried the old phone + handheld combo but its
just too akward and as im alot of the time just running around in
jeans and a t-shirt a handheld is just too clunky.

You don't need long battery life, but you use phone a lot? This seems like a mighty jeep with tiny fueltank...

(Excuse my little opinion)

All opinions appreciated!

Im mostly in the "office" day to day so i usually sit my phone on a cradle/charger when not using it. Thus the phone will get charged daily and only be off charge for a few hours of the day.

Get a P900 and install tracker (for the today page) good for texting (writing recognition, onscreen keyboard and T9). Quite fast, excellent screen, not that good battery life if you use it a lot (that's what you wanted , nah but it's true) and so on. The touch screen is a great plus!

it's a matter or the phone lasting through the (work) day I imagine. Charge overnight every night.

P800 or P900 for sure.
U'll find they meet & surpas all your requirements, only thing though, it might take u a while to get really fast at writing a text with the stylus. However the P900 has T9 text in flip closed while the P800 does not.

Best of all they come with a charging cradle

Thanks for the suggestion, ive considered a p900 but hwo good is the handwritten recognition? I had a sony clie palm and the palm stylus input was horrible to say the least.

Theres just something about the p900 im not sure of..i dunnu...maybe its because i dont wanna look like a twit on the bus writing on my phone!!
