well, heres my problem. i like to take a lot of pictures with my t610, and then move them to my computer via bluetooth so i always have room on my phone. the problem is that every time i take a picture, it automatically names it with the lowest number not currently in use. for example: (assume i have no pictures saved on the phone) say i take 5 pictures. the phone automatically names them "picture 1" through "picture 5". if i delete pictures 1, 2, and 3 but leave the rest, than the next 3 pictures will be named "picture 1", "picture 2", and "picture 3". the next pictures i take will start at "picture 6" and so on. this is a problem because i leave some pictures on my phone for personal rings and so on so they get out of order. also when i try to copy files to my computer to save room, (i keep them all in one folder) it wants to replace the other ones with the same name. is there any way to make the phone incriment the file names from the last picture taken, regardless of whats saved in the phone? thanks for any advice/suggestions you guys have!

why don't you just change the name of the picture once it's on your computer? or you can just rename it while it's still on your phone.

that could work, but i KNOW there has to be a solution to have this done without renaming every file manually. errrrg i hate that word... "manually"

or in the options when in cam mode, one is to change the default name for them - pick something relevant..

The prob is that if he chooses something relevant , he takes a pic and then it woul be "something relevant (2)", then 3 ,etc.Back to square 1

No, but if he altered it each time, yes he'd have 1,2,3 etc but the main portion of the file name would be different, and its not difficult to keep changing it

I have made a vb script that renames all the files in a directory to a filename and puts a number in the file name. You can choose which number to start at so what you can do is take the photos from your camera and put them into a temporary folder and then use the vb script to rename them to the number you want and then move them into the same folder with your other pictures.
When you type in the directory you will have to type in the full address e.g. C:My DocumentsNew Folder (2)
You can download the file from here:

Hope that helps.
