Hi guys!

Just wanted to ask you how long the battery life of a normal T610 is? I just bought my T610 a few days ago, what a great phone! I was told by the store I bought it from that it was already factory charged and that I needed to drain the battery first before charging it for four hours. I played with the phone a while until it was drained and charged it. Funny thing was that after only 2 1/2 hours it was already fully charged, nevertheless I continued charging it for about 2 more hours (I know, I overcharged it for 30 minutes). I then continued playing around with the phone (games, photos, ring tones, etc.) and the battery only lasted for about a day. Is that normal?

Since then I have been charging it while it is open. I have already charged it thrice. The last time, I overcharge it by about two hours. Will that damage the phone? I noticed that the batt never lasts more than a day. Although I have to admit that I have been playing around with it quite a lot.

I need your opinion and insights based on how long your own T610 lasts. Hoping for your kind and immediate response. Thanks so much!

Heavy usage will, offcourse, scorten the battery time.

Your battery will need 4-5 charges to reach it's propper stand by time. How many houres that is will, as That Guy said, will depend on how you use it.
Don't worry about overcharging, when it's fully charged it's fully charged. The new batteries don't get damaged if you leave them charging a few houres too much.
The batteries on my phones never runs out completly. The phone I use that day is on chage in the car most of the day and in the docking station over night so they are way "overcharged" all the time

My opinion; The Batt. Live is OK. (Other brands have not that long standby-time)

But my phone before the T610 was a T68i and T68m. And then it is a dissapointed fact that the T68i and T68m had a much longer standbytime. The Screen and ringtones asks more power

@im2die4 It is definitely down to how the phone is used. When I 1st got my t610 about 3 weeks ago, it was contantly having things up/downloaded to it, and I was using gprs *a lot* and was getting around 15 or so hours before the battery was in the red. With normal use - phone calls/standby - it lasts much longer but I do try and charge it each night.

Have a look at this thread:

It may give you some pointers.

Hope it helps,
David

On an average, the batt life is around 2-2.5 days. This message was posted from a WAP device
