Me and my wife are bought owners of t610.
My wife s phone was stolen and the telephone company shut the phone down. after six months my wife get her phone back.
The telephone company ask for very much money to unlock the phone.
So I was hoping that it is possible to copy the IMEI-number from my phone to hers. How can I do that? PLEASE help me.!

First, welcome to Esato!

What you are asking here is, to my knowledge, actually not legal...

You don't want to do that. If your phone company sees two identical IMEI numbers running around, they'll shut both of them down, and you could go to jail. (Extreme case)

I guess then it is better to unlock the phone, is there anyone that can help me with this. It is cheaper to by a new phone than get the phone company to unlock it.

"unlock" in this case means the network provider change status on the IMEI number so it can be used on the GSM networks. This "unlock" procedure can only be done by network providers. Any other way of making it work again (changing IMEI number) is illegal.

Yes, but many carriers will not just give out their number.

if you in europe sell it to someone in america it will work here or should anyway i know t-mobile usa doesn't blacklist phones, they will just block the sim if its stolen.

Unblocking by user is impossible. because the blacklist is held on serviceprovider side..

changin it is illegal and i guess hard for common phone holder:P

and if they really ask more money than the phone costs for takin u out of blacklist then go sue em..

I know In estonia where the legal system and consumer protection is not so developed than in the western europe
we hav some institutions to deal with such idiotic stuff..

u go tell em its rubbish they say and tell about takin some legal actions..

its like one or two clicks on comp of some blacklistadmin and it should be gone and all ok..

go fight with em.. its your phone.
