Well i have a p800 and had no problems with mine. I hate to say this but the flip on your p800 may be faulty. Did you buy it from a mobile phone shop or privately? Sorry i can't be of further help!

Get a memory stick duo...128mb is max which will be approx £40.

You can get a flip keypad from Ebay or i know www.mobilefun.co.uk do them also.

it happens to me sometimes, but not in flip closed mode. when i press hard with the stylus it seems that the pressure is "distributed" onto another region of the touch screen as well, resulting in another "button" being pressed.

when you press 4 does it always results in 1?
if not, it seems the same happens to you, maybe due to hard and extensive use of the previous owner.try pressing the keys gently and evenly.

but if yes, then it seems to be faulty.of course, i could be wrong, this is just my point of view...

Try to recalibrate your screen (not sure if this is possible with the p800) unless the flip is faulty. I had a similar problem with one of my Palms and recalibration ended it.

Yep you can re-calibrate the screen on the P8 - just click on the battery, then settings, then calibrate. That might fix it.

Otherwise, I've heard this can happen if the two lugs either side of the keypad have broken off, or are on the way out.. in which case its probably time for a new keypad. Shouldn't break the bank tho.

Exactly lugs means the two stoppers on the top of the flip if one othen is broken then it can result in the buttons on the flip pressing the wrong area of the screen. You may need to buy a new flip or just remove the flip and use the virtual flip the phone looks much better without the flip.
If you want a flip any way you may make a post in the accessories wanted section of ESATO and if you are lucky you may get one for free coz there are lots of people here who don't like the flip
