I bought a D-link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Adaptor for wireless communication between PC and P900. It works but the problem is once bluetooth is disconnected, it is impossible to reconnect without rebooting the computer. The Bluetooth Icon in the systray shows green light but is unclickable. Connecting via the serial port says the P900 is already connected. If I try to force down the BT-application, Windows Explorer and/or XP crashes. Talked to Support, they told me to try on another PC.

I can use the P900 perfectly when in the cradle, and bluejacking works OK too, so it must be something with the PC, any ideas ?

You're lucky.

I can't get the D-Link to work on my XP machine at all.

It works fine on my Windows 2000 laptop though.

Not much help now you have bought a D-Link,
but the Belkin Bluetooth USB Adaptor, works like a treat with every bluetoothed phone i've thrown at it... Reasonably priced at around £30 too.

Yeah I think this is more a problem with my PC than with the D-Link to be honest.

My PC is a bit funny with USB in general.

When I boot up I have to remove all USB devices until the logon screen appears. If I don't, all USB devices don't respond.

Have you checked the manufactures website to see if there are any new drivers avaliable for the device to work with XP, as the drivers suplied with the device may be outdated.

Thanks a lot, only looked at the Swedish website. I'll have a go with the new driver tomorrow.

New report from my bluetooth heaven

Downloaded the new driver and now it's working much better except for reconnecting through the bluetooth icon in the systray which is unusable after the first connect. But I can connect again through "My bluetooth places" and the file transfer actually works without problem.
