I just got back from Taipei with my new toy. I did a quick search and found this forum. I can toss that old Clie I have. Within a day or two I have come up with several questions I was hoping someone could help me with.
1. The Memory stick DUO: Please confirm that the "PRO" version will not work in the 900, and is there any difference between the regular one and "Magic gate" one?
2. I have changed the language to UK English but Chinese characters still appear when I select folder storage. The folders are named Internal and memory stick but the contents are Chinese? WTFO?
3. I have found that transferring files to the MS through the P900 is insanely slow. While a memory card reader is much better. Is that normal?
4. I have a strange symbol where my speaker was on the screen. It now shows something like a black "b" with a strike through it?
Okay last one!
5.I can't stand the provided headphones. They keep falling out. Does anyone know of an aftermarket product with stereo headphones, mic and switch in a 2.5mm jack? I went to radioshack and bought a HUGE(relatively) adapter. Thank god it actually works and I get great stereo sounf on my good headphone. However I have lost the phone function and gained some bulk. Ideas? Beuller!?

welcome to Esato
most of these questions have been covered many times and the duo one at least 5 times that I can recall in the last week and indeed there is an ongoing thread in the last hour. anyway, here are my quick answers to a few of these
1. NO you cannot use PRO. YES there is a difference between regular duo and magicgate duo but since the P900 does not support magicgate features they work identically in the P900
3. Any USB/firewire memory stick reader will be much faster than transferring through the phone. Just use the adaptor provided to covert your duo to full size. i.e. don't go looking for a duo USB adaptor
4. that means you have silent mode on. its a musical note not a b. click it with your stylus and a dialogue will appear so that you can toggle between silent and not. alternatively in flip closed press and hold the 'c' key to toggle

no, 128mb is the max because larger than 128mb they become PRO and as already mentioned, PRO does not work.
