My car-100 came in yesterday and it worked great. Today when I turned it on it started up fine then shut down instantly. I tried turning it back on and nothing happened. I then tried charging it, but it won't charge. The little light doesn't even come on. Can anyone help me? Btw I ordered the car from Expansys and I use it with a T610. Thanks in advance This message was posted from a T610

Have you tried to reset the CAR? Connect it to the phone, then push to button for more than 30 seconds. Take a look at the site, go to support and typ CAR. FAQ and you'll find the answer. good luck

The car started to work again, all it needed was a good shake. Thanks for the advice pilot, if it stops working again I think I'm going to send it back though.

No thanks, just had the same problem (kind of). I send it back to expansys and they replaced it within a week, so.

what also could be the cause: check that your contacts on the bottom of the phone are really clean!

I have a very similar problem. Yesterday, i got my Car-100, then tried to charge it with my T630. First, the red light flashed, but after a few seconds, it went out. I tried again to charge it, but nothing happened. Then i went on charging the car with my T39m. The car's bottom got a little bit hot, but the red light wasn't flashing. After two hours, the phone's battery was empty, but i couldn't start my car.
Even the reset didn't work, there's just no reaction.
Who can help me?

My car does this sometimes. I have no idea why, but I usually take it apart and tinker with its insides to get it working again. This message was posted from a T616

Problem solved!
I just took a look at the S///-support-page.
I took it apart, removed the jumper, installed it again, and now it works.
...time for cat-hunting

Hi, I'm having a similar problem with my CAR-100 but I can not seem to fix it.

My CAR-100 worked great for 3 days, then I went to charge it.. and nothing happened, no red light. So I left it, and after an hour came back and the car was warm on the underside and my battery on my phone had decreased quite a bit, but the car was still completely un-responsive, and plugging it in showed no light.

So I tried taking it apart (as direct on the SE site) and doing a hard-reset, took the jumper off and put it back on etc (the red light flashes briefly when I put the jumper back on), but still... nothing. I also tried holding the button down lots, but nope! ARGH! My love CAR-100!

Any ideas? Or should I return it?
