1) If the phone and sim are both new - speak to tmoble directly. They might need to be activated

The phone is Stolen or reported lost
Unlucky your phone has been blacklisted on the database.
There are 5 things you can do
1.contact the seller and get your money back
2.Try to get the imei number changed on your phone(this is illegal)
3.Use the phone as a paperweight
4.Sell the phone to someone abroad as the imei will still be valid there.
5.If you find another solution let me know
hope it helps

How do you know that it's been reported stolen or lost? You don't! So don't give out information that is false!

I have a different problem, I can call, send sms, mms, visit wap sites, but, from time to time it won't receive any calls or messages. when I try to call myself from the regular phone line, the operator says I'm not available. On the phone, though, everything looks alright, even the slight variations in net receive, just like nothing's wrong. Now, when I call someone, or send an sms, the phone seems to "wake up" and I receive all the sms sent to me while I was "frozen" as well as the sms from the operator, letting me know who called me, and when (this is an option from the network, maybe your networks don't support this). This kinda message is sent by the operator when you turn off your phone, so you're actually unavailable.
Someone said that it's a problem with eeprom and I should flash the phone. What with? I only have a bluetooth pc dongle that I use to communicate with the phone... Is that the solution of the problem? Anybody has any ideas? I'm lost here... I work as an PA, so it's very uncomfortable for me to be unavailable...
