Does anyone know which of the Sony Ericson phones support tethered data mode?
What I want to do is to use the cell phone as a modem for my laptop to get on the internet, so with my unlimited minutes, I can get on the internet anytime via the cell phone.
I guess only the old TDMA network supports tethering?
The new GSM network always charge you by the bytes, like the ATT mMode, right?

I am not sure what tetthered dat mode is, but pretty much all of the recent phones will work as a modem via cable, ir or bluetooth. They can be used either for CSD or GPRS traffic depending upon provider support.
