i have had a p 800 and now i bought p 900
i backed up files on p 800 and now i have this backup restored on p 900
it doenst go !!!!!
help

It does not work that way mate! What you can do is a manual backup from yuor p800. This is what:
To retreave info:
1. Sync. your p800 with your pc. this will get you your adresses, calender settings, e:mail, tasks and notes.
2. Do a manual copy of all your files in your p800 into a file in your PC.
3. To retreave your sms get Message storer from
www.symbianware.com ore at
www.my-symbain.com
To but info into your p900
1. Do a sync with your pc. This will get all that is mentioned above (1.) into your p900.
2. Paste all your copied files into your p900. And use the specific folders you had before.
3. You will have to do another installment of all your programs to your p900 and also in some cases ask the manufacturar to give you a new key. But normally you will have to buy new programs.
4. The sms can not be put back into your p900
As far as I know there is no other way, but I can be wrong. Take a look at
www.my-symbian.com forum for help if you did not get it here.
