Hey ! Don't fret, it took me 10 minutes two days ago when I got my P900 to figure it out as well.

Ok, the jog dial you probably know where it is.
With your second finger, lift it up slightly. You know it can turn up, turn down and be pushed in to click, so just lift it towards you until you hear a similar click.

Then let go and push it in gently until you hear another click but try and be a little quick.

Push...the...jogdial...towards...you...then...push...it...into...the...phone...hey...presto!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite frankly, if you can't accomplish this - take your P900 back to the shop, hang your head in shame, and give it back, uttering the words, "I'm not worthy"...

seriously, it's not that hard!
Look at the picture on the bit behind the dial. It tells you how it works.

It's a FIVE DIRECTIONAL DIAL:
1) It scrolls up
2) It scrolls down
3) You can push it in (as in, trying to push the whole wheel into the phone)
4) You can push it backwards, as if you're pushing the whole wheel to the back of the phone
5) You can push it forwards from behind, as if you're trying to push it towards yourself.

With this in mind, when the phone is locked with no flip, you have to push the wheel either back or forward, and then IN.

So using back as it's easier...

1: PUSH THE WHOLE WHEEL TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE PHONE. (NO SCROLLING!)

2: LET IT GO.

3: PUSH THE WHOLE WHEEL INTO THE PHONE.

That's it!

hi mate have you by any chance got tracker 2 installed or any programme which re issues a function to the jog dial as if you have disable this app i.e. if you have forward clik on jog dial set to launch ogg player this is interferring with device lock futhermore to get out this jam hold the off button for ten seconds hope this helps
