There's no reason they'll know you've changed your cover .Often you don't even have to produce a receipt scince all T610's are still under warrenty. If you do get charged it can cost 15-30 Euros

no, if you're paying for the upgrade, it won't matter if the cover is different. just change it back to the original if you really want to feel safe. the nearest only "official" service center in the U.S. is in MN. there's also this place but check around at your local cell phone shops. it cost about $25.

Can anyone tell me where exactly in MN is the SE Service Center? I tried a couple T-mobile stores but no luck.

By upgrade you mean firmware upgrade right? Are there stores out there will help me do it?

that is absolute bullshit, there is NO way that you can even see that the cover has not been changed by a SE center. I have changed several covers for friends of mine and they have all been to SE centers afterwards and they didn't say anything, if they do, you can just say you had it done in a SE center... they use the same screwdrivers and it is impossible to see.

I have been repairing phones for two years now and i have NEVER had any problems with warranty. It is usually meant for people who would use a knife or spoon to try and open their phone, but with the special screwdrivers there is no way to see....

don't goto tmob or cingular or sprint stores. goto general cell phone stores. you know, the stores that sell the phones mainly and services from like three different carriers. tmob doesn't know jack about service centers. yes, by upgrade i mean firmware. check the link that i posted above. also, a year ago i sent my t68 t0 a service center to get it upgraded to a t68i. it was in NC. i don't know if they're still there but their email is sonyericsson@mailsupport.com and the address was
Sony Ericsson
Attn: M2I Program
4222 Emperor Blvd.
Suite 300 Durham, NC 27703
