Hello,
I have a t68i with Cingular.
Why don't I see any options for SMS that allows for the choice of email? The default is text message. According to the manual, I should see the following below:

SMS type
Text
E-mail
Set on send

I believe the SMS types listed are determined by the service provider regardless of what the phone can actually support. presumably that info comes from the SIM card

edit: cytech might correct me on this

I never used the email client before. Then, I just got a t616 to replace a t68i, and noticed these options. Then, I went back to the t68i manual, and noticed that these should be there.

I now use SMS to email with my t616.

They do provide it. However, since the SMS also allows for email, I figure why not use it?

So, would a firmware upgrade even make a difference?

"go to "Messages", "SMS", "Options", "SMS Type" "

That's just it, I don't see the option for SMS Type.
