> Is my p900 missing sum options

For instance, the options key doesnt bring up the same options the manual refers to. I.e when making an outgoin call, I cant select whether i want to show or hide my number b4 when the options button is pressed....Nor can highlight a number in my call list, press the options button and be given the option to add the number as a contact. Are these things missing or am i doing something wrong
With the flip closed, isnt the add number from call list feature available when the option button is pressed to any1 else

go to a se service centre if your in doubt the handset has many different options and UI tweaks dependant on the CDA so their your best bet.

to get the option to hide the number, you need to dial the number first, and then go to hide number
(note, you can just add #31# before the number to hide it, and no, you cannot do this with text messages, i know there are some real dumbasses who would probably ask that so i thought i'd point it out)

I also have t-mob and do not have those options. I cant for life of me think why. It's SIM dependant. I have the latest firmware. If I put in the a diff SIM eg. orange I have all the options.
Tiz strange.

Indeed it is strange, i am on Orange & have all the call options available except the ability to record call conversations which the P8/900 do not support anyway.

@zyavar
I presume you are usinga p900. I am also on an 02 phone never updated the firmware and I have that option of hide number.
@All
The phone gives different options at different stages.For example
On flip close mode if you press the option button you get 8 options Number 4 being Ring volume and no hide my number option at all.
On flip close mode if you press one of the numbers from (1-0)and then press the option button you get 11 options with option number three being hide my number
On flip close mode if you press more than one number from (1-0)and then press the option button you get 12 options with option number four being hide my number.
So could you please check again and confirm that you are not still getting the required options

hi again, i think u got me wrong there!
my P900 does give me the option of hiding, if im dialing a number on my keypad e.g 0208123456
but, when im trying to call someone from my phonebook, theres absolutely no option to hide the number! unless if you go to edit contact/copy number, then ive to go to the standby screen and press paste number, then i can hide the bloody number! and it all takes ages to do, plus uve to open the flip too!
all in all i think its just silly not have these options on the argubly best phone on the market!
i mean yes, this phone is built on an entirely different platform, but i mean i could hide my number and record my conversations on T39m, T68(i), T610.
i think we should all like sign a petition to SE and ask them to include these in future sofware upgrades, as it is just a matter of software alteration!
wot do u gus think?
