theres a kinda plastic hook under the section of plastic you put the stylus into. even if this breaks off (like mine) it'll still keep the flip, or the replacement plastic bit, securly in place and you cant see it anyway. just give it a (careful) shove!

I broke my little plastic hook thing too.
When you go to remove your flip, only insert the prying tool (e.g. stylus) in as far as the thickess of the flip cover, i.e. only the smallest bit possible.
My mistake (and apparently others) was, when the stylus didn't seem up to the task, I used a small screwdriver. This went in too far and I also pried up the plastic hook thing, breaking it on one side. My breakage doesn't seem to affect usage at all. BTW, I use it with flip off.

i used a small screwdriver and managed to get my flip off without damaging the case or flip, you do have to be very careful though.

easy peasy flick the stylus under the hole keep it horizontal push untiull it will go no more in the small space then apply a little force and a scooping action and it will flick off gets easier as you do it a lot more. feel free to pm me and we can arrange for the handset to be posted to me and i will switch it for you.
