i started using xvid but i werent getting great results. i then asked my frien who knows quite a bit out video conversion (been using Divx for years) and he made me a couple a simpsons episodes using "virtual dub" they were top quality. i recommend playing around with virtual dub if you dont get great setting using the smart movie converter.

by the way, i dont usually do this but i think this is a really good piece of software, so if you want a present go to my group.

I found using SmartMovies converter that a bitrate of 128kbps allows you to storage a film onto a 128mb.
Quality is good, like an mp4.
I removed the "reduce frames" flag and set the audio on mono 22050 24kbps.

The codec i used is only the built in codec, i found problems encoding with the latest XviD codec.

Others are not compatible with uiq until someone...

thats ok guys, glad to help you esatonians out. its an excellent program but i have problems of my own. the video / sound sync seems to fall away, i mean at the start its ok but as the movie progresses, the sound and video are not together.

any ideas. i used the xvid settings
reduced frames on
160kbps
Enable ticked
force mono ticked
16000Hz
24kbps

i know, its ridiculous, yahoo told me it was a problem with their bandwidth and they will fix it asap, its weird some people can download some of the time, some people can download none of the time and no one can download all of the time.

im thinking of changing to msn group or i will have to look into purchasing some webspace.
