Has anyone else noticed this? It's intermittent and I haven't been watching it closely enough to spot a pattern but so far 3 random text messages that I have sent recently have been left or moved to the Outbox after being sent.

I know they arrived cause the people I sent them to replied. So not sure why they didn't simply go to the Sent folder like all the others?

Bug, idiosyncrasy or am I just going mad??

Are u on O2 by any chance?

Often I have seen O2 (with many different phones) say 'message unsent' or it stays in Outbox as though not sent etc. when actually it did send!

I'm on Orange, and I find when I write a message, and then send it, it does indeed go to the Outbox. Then when I tap on get&send, it then sends the message.

It's like email on dial-up on a PC, where you write your messages offline, and then go online for long enough to send them in one go.

Yeah, my situation is slightly different in that they get sent when I press the Send button ... and yet they are stored in the Outbox, rather than the Sent folder.

Just annoying really ... 'specially if I don't know for sure if the person recieved the message.

I am on Orange and I find that they only go to the outbox when I am in flight mode or I don't have a signal.

Apologies for my post - somewhere along the line, I thought he was referring to email, not SMS...

Only time my SMS got stuck in outbox instead of sent
is when something went wrong and I need to try send again.
