> How do I install latest firmware?!

Okay, I've now managed to install PC Suite onto another "identical" Win2000 PC (running McAfee VirusScan also).
And it CAN see the P900 phone.
I downloaded and ran a file called "seus_setup1151.exe" from SonyEricsson which without error messages.
But the CDA numbers etc on the phone remain unchanged!
What am I doing wrong?!

you are trying to do it manually, you should go to
http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/P900 and follow the instructions

First it strongly suggested I take a backup, but before I could I had to upgrade PC Suite to v2.3.1. So I did that and successfully managed to run the backup (hurray!) by not changing the default address it gave me for the backup.
But thereafter all manner of Access Violation errors as soon as I connect the P900.
So now all I can do is uninstall completely and try again?!

Interestingly I executed the "Repair" service (on the Control Panel > Uninstall software > PC Suite) and this seems to have worked well enough to enable me to install the latest software on my P900 and restore my data.
Of course needless to say as soon as I reconnect my P900 onto my main PC it still gives me an Access Violation error - and it's not even been set up synchronise!
Conclusion:
The P900 may be a superb phone/PDA in its own right, but it is absolutely CRIPPLED but totally flakey software.
