Dunno exactly why that happens, but if you close your messages app then reopen it and try again it will work.

i had that problem when someone sent me several e-mails that were several meg each. my email service didn't like that they were so large and somehow it affected the email client on the p900 - it must have a bug w/ emails that are extremely large - i set it to download only messages that are < 150k - that seemed to fix the problem
