My friend bought a Nokia 5100 off his cousin a few months ago... It worked fine until he accidently turned on the phone lock code, which neither him nor his cousin know. He doesn't have proof of purchase but his cousin does (but he won't see him for at least 4 months). I wondered if there's anyway to change or turn off the phone lock code?

Erm, not sure... I'll check, Thanks!
Oh, and another thing, how many times can you get it wrong before it's locked?

You can't activate the lock code without entering it in the first place!

Oh, I misunderstood my friend! He broke his 5100 so his cousin sold him his old 5100, but when he got it, it was locked. His cousin is on a gap year travelling the world apparently... He finally managed to contact his cousin, who can't remember the code! D'oh! Any other ideas people?
