iv got a problem when i try to upgrade the latest fw for my p900

this is what i do in order

1 i go to the link (http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/P900/frameset.htm)
2 click on get started know
3 click on manual verification mode (rocommended)
4 next
5 enter CDA number
6 next
7 then i get this message 'For CDA162004/1, the latest organiser version is R3A06. Now you need to compare this version number with the one in your phone. '

8 next
9 i hav ticked all of these boxes

I have a PC with at least a Pentium 133 with 32 MB RAM or more - a Pentium II 233 with at least 64MB RAM is recommended
The operating system on my PC is one of the following: Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 (SP3 required) or XP (SP1 required)
I have installed the PC Suite on my PC - the PC Suite can be found on the CD that came with your product or on the Global Support Area
I have installed and connected a SyncStation to my PC - not all SyncStations supports this service. The label on the bottom of your SyncStation should say DSS-20 or DSS-25.
My device is fully charged

10 then i get a message saying ' cheking the instalation of sony ericson update service

11 after a few seconds i get 'unknown error'

iv tried this about 5 times and the same hapends

Dan,

I had the same probs, but on about the 3rd or 4th attempt it worked!! DIdn't change any settings, but just re-entered the number (CDA162004/11)

All I can suggest is to carry on trying.....
