> Error recieving MMS from Nokia to SE
Bookmark topic
Hi!
When I recieve a MMS from my friends with Nokia (3510/7250i) the message/picture is separate attachments! Why?
When I send a MMS to their phones (or an another SE-phone) the text and picture will appear just like on my P900. But when I recieve MMS from a Nokia phone, the MMS-elements is just attachments and I have to open each element separately (eg. a.txt and picture01.jpg)...
Is it anything I can edit in my settings??
I live in Norway and is using the Telenor-net. I'm subscribing to the operator "Chess".
Please give me some advice! Thank you!!!

Its the way that nokia's send MMS they actually use the picture as an attachment, If you send a picture to a nokia and then they forward it back to you it shows up fine.
You will notice that on the 6100, 7250, 7210 etc the picture is added as an attachment, thus the black box in the right hand corner. 3650, 7650 and 6600 use the same mehtod except you have to 'attach' a sound or pic.
Unfortunately just the way nokias work and there is no way around it.

But I had a SE T610 before my P900. And when I got MMS from a Nokia it showed up just normal!
Say that my "Nokia-friend" wrote a long textmessage and sent this in a MMS. When I had my T610 it showed up on the display just like a regular SMS-text... but now the text is in a attachement on my P900 (a.txt or something like that)!
What's wrong with my P900?? I would prefer that both text and pictures showed up on my P900-screen than on a "file-list" over attachements.... This was not the way it worked when I used T610!
This can't be right!!! Or?? Anyone?

The earlier post explained it pretty thoroughly. There's nothing wrong with your phone, mine does exactly the same in the UK....That's just the way it is....some things will neever chaaaaaaaange, ohhhhhh!
