My P900 is not booting up, it just hangs at the SE start screen.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Can I restore it using the recover setting on the SE update service?

Yes you can. Check what happened with mine. But remember, SE says this can be done only if you have already at least done an update once.

This sounds like the famous "overload syndrom" from the P800.
If it is you've basically put too much stuff into your Phone; apps, contacts, ringtones, etc.
You need to do a SW upgrade but I'm afraid all the stuff in the phone will be lost unless you've done a recent backup.
