Hi
I need to buy a new case for my P900.
(I lost the original that came with the phone)...
Before I do so, can anyone tell me if you can buy the cases for the phones without that stupid fat clip (presumably designed to clip onto your belt)?
[ Incidentally do any of you actally *use* that belt clip thing ?! Nice idea, but it comes off my belt FAR too easily (I bicycle round town a lot) and I simply wouldnt trust it. ]
And where is the best place to buy SE accessories in the UK, anyone?!
The SE website has the "Executive Cases" here
http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp4_1&pid=10122
Executive Case IEC-20
A handsome case designed to carry and protect your P800 or P900. Made of genuine leather, it's comfortable, soft and stylish.
>>
What I can't work out is whether this "executive case" has a horrid fat clip on the back of it...
Does anyone know?
Also, although the SE website has a "checkout" button, I cant work out how/if you can buy accessories from them!
With thanks

The clip is indeed useful to me when I choose to walk; I find it convenient and a good safety feature to avoid nasty scrapes and cuts to Plucky. However, since I am mostly driven places I usually have no real need for a case with a clip, even so I do not find it a major handicap in any way.
If you are looking for a clip for cycling I would have presumed that one featuring a sturdy clip would have been a good idea. The leather models can be quite expensive so I believe, although many swear by them. Perhaps you could just keep your P900 in your pocket? Or you could buy one of those little cradles I have seen cyclists using, where their phone can be secured safely to the handle bars?

Hmm... I have just spotted this thing which looks
*quite* useful because I presume you can make/receive phone calls with the case still on.
Sony Ericsson P900 Krusell Premium Leather Case
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/2455.htm
I guess for gentle walking a clip would be okay, but I just would trust it not to get knocked off!
Basically I would rather have a holster that had a fixed loop around the belt, that you could clip the phone into and leav the holster on the belt whilst actually using it! Do such things exist I wonder?!

oh good... yet
another case thread
anyway, I like krusell and use the horitontal version which has two belt loops (or you can use a clip too) and is very secure on your belt
I do have the one you linked to but don't use it and I am pretty sure it only uses the clip and doesn't have the belt loops
I prefer the horizontal one because it sits much nicer than something hanging down, and also its easy to pull the phone out of the case and use it au-naturel whereas the vbertical one you use while still in the case
I got mine from from
ebay as they are generally cheaper.

Interesting what you say about ebay being cheaper.
I dont really understand eBay... But I have to say the Horizontal Krusell is GBP11.95 on mobilefun.co.uk, whereas the *opening* bid on ebay seem so be GBP12.99 - and of course if you click "BuyItNow" it costs you GBP14.99!
I quite like the idea of the Horizontal Krusell if you can use it with a strong belt loop.
-Do you think it would be safe to use on a bicycle (and wouldnt come off - I'm not worried about rain a I have good waterproof jacket).
On the other hand I suppose there could be some merit having a shower-restant case when making phone calls in the street.. I guess the vertical/upside down "Sony Ericsson P900 Krusell Premium Leather Case" could have some merit... though I wouldnt dare use on my belt in case it fell off bicycling...
Difficult!
BTW, any idea what the "Multidapt® system" is... ?

yes, you are right, mobilefun does have good prices. better than I have seen elsewhere (apart from ebay)
the loops are certainly strong enough for bike riding IMHO. It would take alot to break them.
take a look at the
Krusell web site for more info and details of the Multidapt® system

I didnt liked the belt clip as well so this is what I did from day one. I removed the clip and left with three marks!

Cant we have both a pocket case AND a belt hoster?
I quite like the idea of having a natty leather case for the P900 that would protect the screen from scratches and keep the worst of the rain off...
But I also want something that fits on my belt SOMETIMES. And if I take it off my belt into may
pocket I dont want it to be scratched!
Thus what I *really* want is a nice trim leather case that fits into the (e.g.) jeans pocket, but which also without taking the trim case off fits inside a more robust holster thing on your belt!
Is this possible, anyone?
