im using the 02 mms gprs on a pay and go scheme that isnt meant to support it - its meant to just be for sending and recieving mms's but for some incredibly odd reason this account will let you browse the net through the inbuilt browser but not opera. is this the same for you?

i remeber trying port 8080 though, that worked for a while then suddenly didn't. good luck!

Hmm... this has been discussed oh so many times but for some reason i think i will try to help you!

Right then...

The problem is that you are subscribed to o2 GPRS wap and not o2 GPRS mobile. There is a difference trust me!

You need to phone up o2 and ask them to activate GPRS mobile internet so you can the browse at your leisure!

You will then have to change your GPRS access point to something like mobile.o2.co.uk or www.o2.co.uk, it depends on who your bought your phone from!

Give them a call!

When I was on o2 contract, I phoned up and got Mobile Web activated, it took a few hours. And I could access any service, MSN Messenger, POP3 E-Mail, Remote Desktop etc. fine.

But I got rid of the contract after 12 months and now I'm on o2 PayG and only Port 80 and the assorted WAP ports will work. Annoying yes, even HTTPS doesn't work, but can't complain seeing as it's free for the time being.
