No more than 140 mm (5.5) inches long, the PenPhone is a full tri-band(900, 1800, 1900 MHz) GSM handset. The unusual feature with this device is its handwriting recognition capabilities. Unlike rival products such as the Anoto Chatpen which needs special paper, Siemens claims you can write on any surface. It can then recognise umbers for dialling or text for sending SMS messages. Believe it or not it even has a loudspeaker so you can use the mobile in hands-free mode or alternatively it supports Bluetooth so you can use an existing headset.
Sounds smart, don't know if it exists or not? It's new though. That's all I found on it.

Pretty smart then, if a little expensive. Might look a bit dodgy dialling a number or writing a text on the back of a train seat or something :-D

That's cool if you ask me. Phone thiefs will surely miss out on this one thinking it's just a cool looking pen.
