now. to decide, look into your heart! which you wanted the most, and which u need the most. these are 2 diff item that work diffrentl! asking people here will only making you more confused with the irregular reply. gamers will vote for xbox when non gamer will vote fore p900

I don't think that the price difference of the p900 and the xbox mod is significant to make your decision a difficult one. In fact, you can have both of them. Or if your money is not enough to get both, you might have enough money for the P800 along with the Xbox mod. The Xbox mod would also save you more money when it comes to future spending (if you know what i mean).

if the mod you are looking at is a full HD upgrade, obviously a mod-chip, and like, some crazy new paint job on the box, then i say its a hard decision. Just remember, once you get the mod, you have to either get a switch to disable it, or you will never be able to go onto Xbox Live

Well a x-box mod. can be cheap. My X-box is modded with by software, and that is much cheaper than buying a P900.
A bios flash has allmost no cost's, you only need some solder. If you you have a Xbox version 1.2-1.5 you have only a 256Kb bios, and you miss the posobility to use x-box live with soft modding, but if your xbox is 1.0-1.1 you can use your half bank with the original bios, and the other half with a modded bios ( like Xecuter, evox ) and still use x-box live. But you have to solder inn a switch so you can choose wich half of bios you have to use before you boot your box.
So if you use this kind of modding, you maybe have a forge to buy a P900 to.
For tutorials to mod. your xbox by yourself you can go to this site:

Why not set yourself a challenge and go for both. If you are looking to get a P900 on contract then you can expect to pay anything from nothing upto a 300 notes, i did'nt pay more than 100 quid for my P900, and my monthly tariff after the first initial month of 45 quid is only 18.99 including insurance. if you are looking to buy the handset only then you could pay alot more unless you get a good deal. Xbox mod prices will also vary depending on what type of mod you get, and where you get it from, just make sure you some for of warranty if it messes up.

I have the same setup (but solderless mod chip) minus the paintjob yous' looking at $169 (atleast thats what I paid, last year including IBM Harddrive) only way to fly... some guys are talking about changing the drive to a DVD Writer deal now, cant see why. But they have already upgraded the drive with an aftermarket high speed DVD Rom which gave improved speeds and reliabilty.
So anyways... as much as I like the p900, i would still say "X-Box"
Good Luck!
