Edited for Wappers!
So the K700 will be able to stream live content, according to the white paper anyway.
Taken from the white paper.

*Streaming of live radio (broadcast)
Linda wants to check out and listen to her favourite radio station. She browses to the homepage and starts to stream the content. The content is audio or audio with pictures of the artist.*

What i would like to know is how much is this gonna cost the average user? Is this gonna be a 'provider provided' thing or can we just log on to any free radio station etc, that is streaming some funky choons

If,for example me with Orange UK,am gonna end up looking at the Orange homepage and seeing similar prices for a logo=£2.00 each! or ringtone=£2.50 each!
Can you imagine how much they gonna charge for listening to some dance music station on a 4 hour train journey!!!
Hopefully i will get a surprise and see low prices for this service (wishful thinking ) but i need to know about it cus this will help me decide on my next phone,K700 or Z1010
So if any of yoo's has any idea on charges then post here, maybe
@orangeman can shed some light on this as he says he's 156 CS @ Orange UK,come on mate, whats the talk @ Orange, giz some info

Like, which will be the cheaper? streaming audio thru a GSM K700 or streaming audio thru the Z1010's UMTS.
1 more thing, will the k700 use GPRS or CSD? Hopefully GPRS but then they would make sure that GPRS wap would'nt work with it,hope that is'nt the case.
I just wanna make the most out of my GPRS Access Pack and free 50 minutes a day that i have

boyi.

I suspect it will be billed per minute for a dialup connection and per mb for a gprs connection! This message was posted from a Nokia

i REALLY doubt that's gonna be CSD connection as that's an analogic connection at a slow speed (9,6 kbps/sec). One other problem is that tha CSD connection ocupies ur line and when some1 calls gets a "busy tone".
Other than that and the most importand is that they wanna push forward the new technologies (GPRS, EDGE or wi-fi) or whatever they can come iup with.So u gonna pay for data-traffic but it's gonna be really expensive...i doubt some1 in Europe will pay for it unless they can see u unlimited time like Orange wap thru gprs ...i don't see myself spending even 10$ on streaming audio and video.I paid for wap thru gprs just once and i can't say it was worth something.

Thanks for your help! I did'nt realise it was as simple as that!

So i could have 50mins of streaming music thru CSD every night and use my GPRS Access pack to listen to streaming music at all other times

In theory yes. Dial up probably wont be used as 701 mentioned but data traffic charges will. U may even get away with an 'item' charge This message was posted from a Nokia

here it is offered like this.
3cents a K/B
$5 a month for 500k/b and 3cents a k/b if you go over.
$25 a month for 5mb and 3cents a k/b if you go over.
$50 a month for unlimited
and if you have a hiptop(danger) they have a promo of only $20 for unlimited, bastards! why not offer the same with other devices?

Still pricey though hmmm?
