Anyone got any good tutorials on setting up Iremote. Cant seem to find a LIRC file for my Sony TV or VCR. I have a Sony RMT-V408 remote that operates both but the closest config file Ive found is a RMT-V406 which didnt work.
Any other programs/procedures that anyone could recommend.?

You can find the learning system if you have an irda port on Pc (Win).

how do you sign in this lirc files to a irremote
you open thids txt or something file and you label only the partthat is codes or that part to vhen it said who do this lirc itd

ok heres the rub, these ir remote progs so far a pretty cak considering they cant be taught to be used on ur own appliances, particularly where we buy local in house brands. is there ANY Remote software outthere for p800/900 that can "learn" like the ones for palm etc. Vito technology did it easily for palm, wonder y no1 is doing it for the PX00 phones. Ive searched high and low i hope i jus have been unlucky. Please some1 let me know if there is such an ir remote device available and where to get it. Cheers

no point really with the Ir stuff as the range on the p900 is rubbish
i dont know why SE didnt embed a higher range I R transmitter as this is a verry popular app
the 6600 has an awsome range in comparision to p900
