for the moment, i have published only the stuff from days 1 and 2, but so far theres lots of interesting things:

http://www.clubsonyericsson.com/en/featured_cebit04.shtml

for wappers:

"
The Sony Ericsson stand design is the same of past years, and all products were present —even the Japaneese phones—. There were lots of working phones to play with, from Z1010, black and white T630 (this one will finally be available everywhere sim-free), K700, etc. But very few working S700. The firmware is only three weeks old and very few things are operative. Today I played mostly with the K700, tomorrow with the S700. Hopefully with some SO505is too.

The K700 phones had the same firmware version of the one I used during the Press Conference of March 9th, and the service menu still showed "Model: Z1010". I discovered a feature I didn't notice then: the Panorama effect of the camera (which helps you align 3 photos together and actually sticks them together to get a 180º view). Unfortunately it crashed whenever I tried to access the Camera Pictures folder (in any K700) so I wasn't able to grab the photos to show you samples. I tried the integrated flash light and altough it is useful, it doesn't seem even half powerful than the MPF-10 Flash Module. If I have time, I will take comparison photos of the MPF-10, the K700 flash and the S700 flash.

Finally, a "working" S700 prototype . Okay, the firmware is in such an early stage of development that, when trying to reach menus or test things, it crashed LITERALLY 9 out of every 10 times. Even the housing of the prototypes is underdeveloped (no symbols in the keys, badly polished aluminium, no "Sony Ericsson", "1.3 Megapixel" and such text labels, and an odd lens decoration in yellow) comparing to the dummies, which show how the final product will look and feel like phyisically. BUT even so, it was a box of surprises. First of all: IT HAS RADIO FM BUILT-IN, just like the K700! Awesome. But from there comes another surprise: The interface is the same as K700 and Z1010. Even the service menu tells "Model: Z1010" So in the end, the S700 is no smartphone, but a mixture of the features of K700 (Radio FM, Flash light, aluminium housing) and Z1010 (Memory Stick Duo), with an extra of coolness, style, ease of use and of course, a really astonishing screen. Since the same interface is used by all three phones, you will find the same negative details (p.e. no customizable SMS tone) and the same new improvements (multi-field contacts, Speed-Dial, horizontal tabs in menus...)

At last! Let's compare the T610, T630 and Z600 screens altogether in a family photograph (below). Well, nothing unexpected: the T610 screen (STN) is the worst in terms of contrast and lateral view while the Z600 (TFD) and T630 (TFT) are very very similar. I even had the feeling that the lateral view of the Z600 was better, although the high contrast of the T630 beats the other two. Worth mentioning is the evidently larger size of the Z600 screen.

The surprise of Day3: The K700 can remotely control any program in your desktop computer via Bluetooth, straight out of the box! Come back tomorrow.
"

more comments on each photo and about other brands, in the website. one thing to summarize: I WANT THE S700!
enjoy!

Maybe it's just me... but I really do NOT like the design of any of the new phones that SE has unveiled.

Feature-wise, SE is still great. But I'm sorry, but their designs are just getting worse with each new generation. (Not to say that that funny looking new Nokia isn't ugly either, but that's another story)

But from SE's current line-up, the only phones I find decent looking are the T68i (dunno if this counts since this is a beautiful Ericsson design) T610, T630, Z600 (this one barely makes it), and the P900.

I was hoping that when I saw the T610, and T630... the next gen would look a lot better. And although the K700 has a lot of great features...it looks too Samsungy for me...not bad, but not great. And the S700 looks too much like a weird PPC. And both these phones are friggin' FAT! Why are all these phones almost an inch thick?!?! And the Z500 is a major step backwards from the passable Z600 style. Ya it has EDGE and all... all that technology, wasted on a really sad plasticky design. (Yes, I feel the Z600 looks and feels too plasticky too, but it looks a bit better)

I'm sorry, but I feel that the designs of the new SE line-up are just f-ugly. Sorry...just venting my disappointment on how their new phones look. Too much like Fisher-Price products.

Awesome report, very thorough - great pictures too.

The K700 just looks pure class. Sony Ericsson have come quite a way with their design, at the same time retaining their individuality.

Keep up the good work chungagoring

@jplacson: taste is personal. I love the Z500 and Z200 design, but i don't like the Z600 phone.

I like the T610 design, the T630 is even bether.
The K700 looks kinda kewl on live pics, the drawn photo is a bit weird.

But it has been sad before, the K700 is not the new T610. The T630 is.
I Think The t650 is not for soon

i do not like the curve lines in the sides of the k700, it reminds me of a 6600, but overall i find its design a step forward from the t6x0 to the sony style. but well, to be honest, the t610 design is just unbeatable elegance.

be careful; note that most of the s700 photos in this report are from the s700 prototype wihch doesnt have the definitive casing and doesnt look as good as the dummy, which wears the beautiful materials. you can see photos of this one in here.

man, because "features" is not some sort of spiritual ethereal metaphysic thing. features are hardware stuff and they need its space and since these phones have ALL the features they just cant be no smaller! its far good enough that they managed to add radio fm, 30mb of more memory, integrated flash, a greater screen and vga camera to something the same size of a t610, just a couple of mm thicker. if you are looking for small size and no features go buy a panasonic gd55

cheers jellyellie.

nice pics man.

one thing i noticed though, you said you cant listen to the radio through the speaker but according to the whitepaper you can.
the handsfree cable acts as an antenna but you can still use the loudspeaker to listen (the nokia 7250i radio works in exactly the same way).

also dont suppose you know if you can store more sms than the t610 etc where you can only use the sim memory?

Yes they CAN make them smaller with all the features. The Japanese units have proven that. And with regards to current proof... the Z600 and T610 have the same features, but the Z600 is a LOT fatter. not a single feature added to the new K700 would add any volume save for the flash.
