> Z600 bug or defective equipment?
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I have recently purchased my Z600, which I am extremely satisfied, but I think I might have a problem, now the question is: is this my problem or everybody's problem?
If you are a Z600 owner please do the following in your phone:
- Set an alarm;
- with the phone closed disable the alarm sound pressing "-" key on the left of the phone;
- Let it ring for another 30 seconds (without the sound of course, since you should have disabled it in the last step);
- now open the phone...
Well, my phone turns off when I do this...if someone else could try this and then post results I would be most appreciated since I need to know if this is software or hardware related...
Thanks.

This might explain why my phone does a similar thing. Every once in a while, when I answer a call by opening the flip, my phone shuts itself off. It didn't start doing that until I did what you just described.
I tried sending SE an email about it, they just told me to call them to see if they could alleviate the problem.

Just sent out an email to SE reporting this situation. Did they give you any solution to the problem randomtask77?
I just tried to do this procedure again and the phone didn't turn off, so if I wanted to trade it I would have to prove this issue...do you have found out a way that the phone DOES turn off randomtask77?
BTW: So I guess all you SE Z600 owners that haven't had this problem SHOULD NOT TRY THIS WITH YOUR PHONES!!! Stupid solution to a serious problem though. Hope SE does come out with a quick answer/solution.
Thanks

I'm using the latest SE firmware R5B001
Maybe it's got something to do with software after all. Can anyone else post results and firmware version?
