Can someone tell me which is faster loading up a MS Duo. The USB cradle/card reader/Bluetooth/Infrared?

Trying to get 128Mb onto a MS Duo via the USB cradle is doing my head in.

The cradle is just a serial connection (USB serial port in fact) so of course any card reader will be magnitudes faster (20 times faster at least).

But aren't card readers connected by USB also?

How quick is BT? Linksys do a USBBT100 USB BT adaptor. Would this be the fastest or as it is USB just the same?
The spec says Transmission speed 721Kbps. Is this faster than USB etc..

As stated above it doesn't matter if you use bt/ir/usb, all of them use the same serial interface of the PX00... so the actual bw used will just be a tiny fraction of the actual capacity in case of usb (cradle) and bt.

With a card reader you will get the full speed of usb1/usb2/fw or whatever the reader uses (although also limited by the speed of the actual flash cards of course).

cheers bowmanP900, just what I was looking for. Time to invest in a card reader.

Anyone know how long it takes to upload 128Mb to a MS Duo via a USB card reader?

I have a t 2 and use a 128 mb sd card with a usb2 reader i can write 30mb movie files in about 15 to 20 secs so i would expect 128 to be between 1 and 2 mins This message was posted from a T610
