how come the s5050i or watever its called (the japenese version of the s700) has 16x zoom yet the s700 only has 8x zoom?

I think because the Japanese need to be ahead of us technologically. It just wouldn't be proper for us to have a phone as good as theirs, let alone better! ;-)

shit you will have worse pics than t630 if you willl use 16x digital zoom on a 1.3 mp camera!
and i still believe that digital zoom was invented just to sell more items...
