> No Sim Card Error Being Annoying
Bookmark topic
Greetings,
Twice today I have had the No Sim Card error message which comes in the form of No Sim Card being displayed at the top in blue adn then the flip open style phone pad underneath.
Strange. The SIM is already in the P900 - why would I take it out?
Me thinks there is a problem a brewing which could lead to a bigger one. Do tell!

You don't happen to have anything stored in your battery compartement do you(like a DUO) The reason for asking, is that if i do that with my P800, i get a simcard error as well. As soon as i remove my spare MSDUO card from there, the problem is gone....

Thanks for your replies.
No I don't use a dual sim card thingy.
As for cleaning, i will do that but it seems weird as I haven't opened the back cover since putting in the SIM and battery the day I got it 16 days ago.

I have the exact same problem, and I know someone sle who has it too.
The error occurs at random intervals, even when it's simply laying on my desk. All of a sudden it goes *beeep* and says: "Insert Sim Card".
I have to reboot the phone, after which it works fine for a few hours or even days, but sometimes it'll do it again after just a few minutes.
Really annoying

Is your simcard dirty?? Maybe there are fingerprints on it. Try to clean your simcard and the reader

it does sound as if the phone simply 'loses contact' with the sim.... as if there is too much space and it can actually lose touch with the sim

bit weird and I'm not sure how to explain it any better... just sounds like a 'bad fit' so to speak... i'd have it checked out if i were you.

The first thing I did was clean the simcard, didn't help.
If it happend when I'm using the phone, or when it's in my coat-pocket or something then I would think of it losing contact with the sim, but it also happens when the phone is just laying on my desk, not moving or anything...
I'll clean it again and insert a piece of paper to make it press harder into the phone, if that doesn't help I'll ask my provider for a new simcard. If thát doesn't help I'm affraid I'll have to go pay a visit to a SE-center...

For some reason it happenned yesterday at work.
It doesn't bother me that much. It's a fantastic phone. As long as it doesn't happen often.
All I did was remove the battery. Left it for 10 seconds, replaced it and switched it on and it worked again. I did blow into the SIM card though but that probably did nothing.
