Hi,
I just bought the HBH-65 and I used it on my T68i and I just got a T616. I noticed that the T68i was a little better in terms of sound quality. Anyway, what I thought I'd bring up was that outdoors the HBH-65 isn't the most ideal hands free set. In fact my voice is pretty faint whether it's outdoors or indoor. Before you ask my headset was fully charged and was worn properly.
I left myself voicemails there's definitely no comparison between voice quality of the regular handset and the bluetooth HBH-65. The phone's microphone wins hands down in terms of volume and sound quality. I'm actually a little disappointed by the results. The HBH-65 was actually really faint and in some respects it sounds like I'm underwater. I didn't get the wavering voice weirdness with the T68i.
I'm actually thinking of purchasing the HBH-35 instead hoping that it might. Do you think it might make a difference? I really enjoy the fact that there aren't any cables attaching me to the phone when using bluetooth, but if this is what the people are hearing then there's a problem.

I use my HBH-65 paired with Z600 all the time. No complaints from any of my friends/callers. Ofcourse the quality of sound would be a little different from phone microphone vs. headset microphone. But it is not that much of a difference. I'm very happy with my pair.

Same experience here. Did u try it with another hbh65 headset? It could help u to compare both, maybe yours has some bug.

Thanks for your replies. Quick question. Are you using the unit outdoors or in your car? I found that outdoors my voice can be heard, but it's very, very quiet. It's probably because the microphone is so far from my mouth.
I found it interesting that if you go to
www.SonyEricsson.com their recommended bluetooth car headset is the HBH-35. The HBH-65 is not listed in that category.

Just out of curiosity for those folks that say that everything sounds fine. Have you tried leaving yourself a voice message using the HBH-65 and listening to yourself? I always thought everything sounded fine until I decided to try it out and leave a voice message to myself. That's when I found out it's near impossible to hear myself talk when outdoors. When indoors my voice sounds like it's missing a higher frequency range in my voice, but I'm sure the person should be able to hear me. When I compared the volume to my regular phone handset though the handset won hands down. It's very loud and clear.
I guess it'll depend on the environment where I use the bt headset.
