Hello all, first post so be gentle.
Looking for terminal layout and what each pin supplies on bottom connector of p900.
Currently use nokia car kit for my 6310, but also have nokia car kit left over from my last phone.
Looking to buy se holder for p900, and make up loom to connect speaker outputs, mike and charging from p900 to my spare nokia kit.
Cannot see why this would not work, and with a bit of luck, maybe get ariel connected as well.
If any-one can supply diagram on pin layout and function, it would be really appreciated.
Regards,
Big Red

Hey Red,
After ripping apart my third party hands free I can report it (as you look at the connector on your p900, screen faceing up, leftmost pin being 1) it only uses pins 1,2,7,8.
Looking at how it is wired, pins 7 and 8 are soldered together and provide a ground.
Pin 1 is for the mic and 2 is for the speaker.
The end / begin call buttonshorts pin 1and 7/8.
Did you manage to source a connector from somewhere?! are you going to dismantle a system connetor?
Good Luck!!

Cheers Mate,
Just what i was looking for.
What i plan to do is butcher a non original personal hands free so I am left with the connector and a length of wire.
Then connect to the appropriate wires on a nokia 2110 car kit i have lying around for speaker and mike.
If this works satisfactory, then I will probably buy the hch-37 car holder and connect this up to nokia kit.
Hopefully being able to make connections to my glass mounted ariel as well.
So..
Pin 1 is + for mike, 2 is + for speaker, and 7 and 8 is - return for speaker and mike.
Once connected to hands free, do you need to short pin 1 to 7/8 to answer and hang up?? or can you just use keypad on phone.
Thanks for your input, and will post back my results after i get my soldering iron and heat shrink out.
regards,
Big Red

Also, does anyone know what the config is for the 2.5mm jack?
Same as nokias 3310 *Spit* for example? Because I love the nokia earhook.
I got all excited when SE said they were going to release the HPS-20 but then relised it just wont cut the cake for sat nav on p900 in the car where as an earhook may, as well as being a good handsfree!
