I would like to ask people that bought the HCH37 how they installed it... i mean did you actually put 4 holes on your dashboards? my car is kinda new and i cant live with the idea of installing my unit with the "screws" version... i have tried doubleface stickers but they cant hold the weight.. can anybody please advise me how to "stick" the holder on the dashboard without using holes and splattered super glue?

thanks

You can buy special brackets that fit under trim and allow you to affix your holder without marking your trim.

Another option is to lash it onto a vent, but they move. Although a shame it often seems best to carefully make four clean holes rather than make lots of small marks all over the place with failed attempts and lose brackets. A shame know.

Alternativly source a small replaceable part of the dash from a scrapper, butcher it and then when you come to sell or remove the bracket, replace the damaged trim with the orriginal.

My best thoughts, anyone else?

There are loads of outfits that will repair Instrument panels/dash boards, and as far as I'm aware, it's relatively cheap.
I once had a stereo crow-barred out of one of my cars and they damaged the trim around the fascia.... can't remember who I got to do it, but the repair was fantastic !
So, even if you do drill holes to fix the bracket, sweat not, when you come to sell the car and want to present it at it's best, it's easy to get it sorted.

A little hard to explain but here goes:

You remove a bit of trim, affix the bracket to something solid. when you replace the trim part of the bracket is still visible, it routes out from beneth the trim at the join between trim pieces.

Think that makes sence...

A quick search on google might be more enlightening.
