A friend of mine saw my P900, loved it and rushed out to buy one. Problem is his phone has a lot of Chinese text, options, dictionary etc in the software, mine doesn't. He has two language options, being ' Simplified Chinese' and 'English' so he is able to use the phone, but handwriting recognition is a bit of a pain as he keeps having to change from Chinese to English. Also, some commands, like 'Storage' 'Internal' has the words 'Unfiled' in Chinese.
So, without going into too many boring details, is there a way of getting rid of ALL things Chinese on the phone and just having it all in English???

!!!!!!

Sounds like your friend was sold a P908....the Chinese P900.

I'm not sure if you can change it, I imagine the updates for the CDA no. would be Chinese updates...

Guys for one reason P908 has a melody composer that a P900 doesnt have. If that would give u any solace.

dirkprop,

would it be possible for your friend to exchange for an english version?

i certainly would if that is not what he wanted, plus he does not read chineses.

i asked for the chinese version because i wanted it. it does not make sense to sell one to people who can't read it nor ask for it specifically.

the Chinese version has less internal memory because need more memory to store the Chinese font.
