> T610\s need facelift!
Bookmark topic
My baby's been hurt! It hit the ground and thus leaving a chip in the right hand corner of my screen. Ive called Vodafone and they say itll cost around £40! I think that the outside window (the one included with the fascia) is damaged, but not the valauble "actual" screen on the t610.
I know that the web has housings available, but i really dont trust myself replacing it. The marketplace could do it,i suppose...
Anywho,heres a pic:

Changing the facias on the T610s isn't as bad as it might look! You should think yourself lucky, I've got a T610 at the moment that got chewed almost to death by a dog! I've replaced the LCD and battery on it, but the fascia looks terrible at the moment! The casing's got teethmarks all over it, the aluminium's dented and scratched to hell, looks a bit like a dog's dinner. (sorry, couldn't resist that!) I've got a new casing on order from someone on Ebay at the moment, which cost about £16 including delivery, I think from Hong Kong.
If you can live with the dent, I would do, if not, it's not too bad to take apart to swap the fascia over - I think there's a guide to doing it somewhere on Expansis's website, which is

Taking the phone apart is easy enough once you pluck up the courage to ease the antenna cover just the little bit more, pictures can be found here.

Yes, that antenna cover's a bugger, isn't it! It took a bit of courage summoning the courage to get that thing off! That and initially prising the front part of the fascia off are probably the worst parts of taking the phone to bits - haven't actually put a new cover on mine yet, as I'm waiting for it to be delivered! Can't wait for it to arrive, get my phone looking as good as new again!
